My name is Sylvaine le Baron, VP of Human Resources at Talentsoft. I started my new position during the summer of 2016, and my first day was full of surprises.

As I was welcomed by our CEO, Jean-Stéphane Arcis, I learnt that first, we would be moving into new offices two months later, and that, as Office Management is part of HR, I would be heading the project. Second, at the same time, I learnt that we would be merging with a 100-employee company based in Nantes, a mid-sized French coastal city 300 miles away from Paris. I was responsible for post-acquisition operations.

My immediate thought was: ”Well, I’m starting to understand the culture here at Talentsoft. It’s all about chaos and survival.” So I prepared myself for a cruel summer. However, quite unexpectedly, I more than survived it. I actually truly enjoyed it because I benefited from Talentsoft’s way of doing things.
